How to Choose an Audio Visual System for Your Virtual Office

A virtual office allows employees to telecommute; thus it improves employees' job satisfaction. Employees who do not commute to work as long as they can meet deadlines and produce quality work are more satisfied with their jobs. Video conferencing enables you to hold virtual meetings with your clients, investors, and more stakeholders. Audiovisual systems allow you to create a virtual office. This page discusses the factors that you should consider when installing an audiovisual system in your company.

An interactive whiteboard allows you to write on it as the participants of the video conference see what you are writing. A whiteboard is essential for demonstrating and elaborating ideas for people to understand you more. You can change the colors of the writings and write on several web pages or documents.

The system should have cameras that output quality images. The wider the viewing angle of the camera and the more the pixels the camera has, the more clear the images will be. People get irritated with grainy images because they are distracting.

You should make video calls through the system as you go on with the video conference. The audiovisual system should not force you to choose between a video call and video conference at a time. You will receive video calls from other customers while the video conference is ongoing; hence, you should be able to multitask.

Check the speakers and microphones to ensure that you love their design. These devices can be on-table installed, installed in the ceiling, or mounted on the sound bar. When the microphones and speakers are set up as you need them to, you will have a high-quality experience with the audiovisual system.

The control panel should be quick and easy to use. You do not need an audiovisual system whose control panel will be challenging for employees to use because, as they fumble with it, they will be interrupted by the video call or conference.

Consider the displays of the audiovisual system. The displays allow colleagues to view each other’s location, presentations, and screen share from smartphones and laptops. You should be able to enlarge or minimize the content that is being shared in the virtual conference on the screen of your device without interrupting the audiovisual system if the system allows a single display. The dual display allows you to view the content and the participants in the virtual meeting on your screen and minimize or enlarge the content and images of the participants as you please. Is the system wired, wireless, or are the two types of connection combined? Choose the audiovisual system that has the appropriate connectivity depending on the needs of your company. Cords, cables, and wires clutter the office, and people can trip and fall over them hence choose the wireless connection. A system that has both the wired and wireless connection is also great for your office because you can rely on the wired connection if the wireless connection fails.
